Poetry & genever. Only 2 words, but enough for Lex & Turner - as 'èchte hèsseliëre' - to say 'yes' to the question of The Jenever Museum to help design the exhibition. The result: a distilled design, under the slight influence of genever.
It's no secret gin "inspired" a lot of poets to write poems. And not the least of them: from Komrij and Nolens to Lucebert. The anthology and exhibition 'Straks gaat het jenever sneeuwen' brings together these most beautiful poems from juniper literature.
To design a recognizable brand identity, we started from 2 basic elements: a silhouette of the classic gin bottle and the rhythm of the lines from poetry. The result is a purified, recognizable shape. We can easily hang all our communications on it.
Pairing a detail from a classic work of art with a contemporary design creates a captivating clash - one that excites. The color palette is understated yet frivolous, providing character. The 3 color tones add a modern twist.
The recognizable brand identity was applied to numerous elaborations, including: Appendix in De Standaard / The expo website / Creative press invitation / Posters and advertisements / Animations / Etc.
We close with the words of (gin) poet Tom Bezemer.
